Just the Trips: Carl’s 2019 Departures

Carl is the newest member of the Out Adventures’ family, acting as our digital marketing specialist. His nomadic nature has taken him around the globe where he’s experienced travel highs (A quiet sunrise atop Mt. Batur, Bali) and lows (Scabies. He’d rather not talk about it, thank you very much).

If you’re interested in joining Carl on an Out Adventure, you can find his 2019 departure schedule below. Continue reading “Just the Trips: Carl’s 2019 Departures”

How Argentina Became a Leader in LGBT Rights

Gay Rights; Out Adventures; Argentina; Buenos Aires; Gay Travel; Gay Vacation; LGBT tour; Queer trip.

Argentina has become a world-leader in LGBT rights. And it has nothing to do with Madonna’s memorable portrayal of the famed former first lady, Eva Perón.

Homosexuality has been legal in the country since 1887. In 2010, it became the first Latin American country to legalize same-sex marriage. And in 2012, it became legal to change one’s gender without surgery. Not to mention other hot topics such as blood donation, adoption, anti-discrimination policies all checking out in favour of us homos.

According to Equaldex, when Argentineans were asked “Should society accept homosexuality?”, 77% said “Yes”!

How did Argentina become so progressive, you ask. Well, it’s difficult to say exactly, but four key factors seem to play the largest roles.

Just the Trips: Kevin’s 2019 departures

Kevin Robitaille

Our sales manager Kevin Robitaille is a familiar face among clients, often leading our more gruelling adventures: Kilimanjaro and The Inca Trail to name a few. When he’s not surmounting Earth’s summits, he’s in Toronto playing ultimate frisbee, dodgeball or answering our phones with that ever-so-slight Quebecois inflection.

If you’re interested in joining Kevin on an Out Adventure, you can find his 2019 departure schedule below.  Continue reading “Just the Trips: Kevin’s 2019 departures”

10 Years of New Frontiers

A Letter from Rob:

More than a decade ago, Co-founder Steven Larkin and I embarked on a journey to offer adventurous and meaningful gay tours that give back to the communities we visit (click here for the full story).

Here we are today with hundreds of tours under our belt, 60+ countries visited, and countless friendships formed. All thanks to our loyal travellers, many of whom are now family. Together, we’ve scaled mountains, explored cultures, conquered the open seas, devoured street food, and had some of the most, um, interesting dinnertime conversations (said conversations being a personal highlight).

2019 marks ten years since we touched down in Bangkok on our first tour and I am absolutely thrilled to announce ten new tours to celebrate the milestone. Curated by yours truly and hosted by members of our team, these are set to be spectacular sojourns.

So, take your pick: polar dip with Kevin in Antarctica, hike Mount Pico in the Azores with Carl, journey through the Canadian Rockies with Lino, or get soaking wet with me during Thailand’s Songkran Festival, where it all began.

Scroll down for a complete list of our anniversary tours.

Cheers to Ten Years!

Just the Facts: Camels

Morocco; Gay Travel; Out Adventures; Camels; Humps; Desert; Sahara; Berber

Despite Morocco’s conservative nature, everybody is guaranteed a hump or two on our Souks & Sand tour. That is to say, riding camelback through the Sahara.

We’ll saddle up a caravan of these magnificent beasts and ride towards an authentic Berber campsite. The haunting desert sunset to follow will be the pomegranate on top of this unique experience.

Scroll down for a few fast facts on camels. Continue reading “Just the Facts: Camels”
