As we gear up for the 30th annual Toronto AIDs Walk on Sunday, September 16, we wanted to share our friend Michael Coulombe’s inspiring story of conquering The Inca Trail.
In 1995 the software consultant from Massachusetts was diagnosed with HIV and thought at most, he had one good year left. In 2017, twenty-three years after being diagnosed, the industrious traveller surmounted the Peruvian Andes on our Peru: The Inca Trail and Machu Picchu gay tour.
We at Out Adventures are elated to share the news that in a watershed moment, the Indian supreme court has decriminalized homosexuality… again. A bench of the country’s five highest judges ruled a ban on sex “against the order of nature” was unconstitutional.
We tasked our sales manager Kevin Robitaille with capturing the spirit of our Croatia: Gay Dalmatia Cruise. Nikon in hand, he snapped an incredible collection of photographs of not just the blissful beaches and sensational architecture. But also of the unforgettable men who joined us on the Adriatic.
His portraits delve into the essence of what we’re all about: Life partners sharing a quiet moment overlooking Dubrovnik. New friends swapping travel stories while suntanning on the upper deck. One man sits boat-side, legs dipped in the balmy waters while he takes the time to drip-dry.
Should LGBT travellers visit countries where homosexuality is illegal? Rob and Peter debate this question and others as they delve into the ethics of gay travel on the Out Adventures Gay Travel Podcast. Continue reading “Unpacking Ethical Travel”→
Cannonball into the balmy Adriatic. Bite into Europe’s unsung culinary hero. And wander medieval cities and posh ports. All on our annual Croatia: Gay Dalmatia Cruise.
Below you’ll find an introduction to the aforementioned cities and ports we’ll enjoy on this continuously sold-out voyage. And if by blog’s-end we’ve piqued your interest, swim over to Stays that Slay: Cruising Croatia for a deep visual dive into the MV Futura — the private yacht we’ll indulge in for the length of our stay.
Out Adventures teamed up with Bulldog Productions in Croatia to shoot our 2018 Never Lose Your Sense of Adventure campaign, premiering this coming Friday on the Out Adventures Blog.
Before the premiere, we wanted to introduce the campaign’s charismatic cover man, Scott Furman. To no one’s surprise, our digital marketing coordinator Carl Hiehn volunteered to connect with the dapper Daddy in L.A. via Skype.
Scroll down to read the full Q&A, including Scott’s take on charming Croatia, his personal approach to travel and how the campaign slogan Never Lose Your Sense of Adventure resonated with him. As an added bonus, Scott agreed to share some of his personal travel photos.
